Soft & Snugly

April 08, 2011

The change in temperature in the last couple of days has prompted me to make some snuggly goodies for our new little honey.  She has a few hats already but most are too big for her, so wanted to make something that would fit her now.

I used reclaimed wool from a gorgeous soft lambswool and angora sweater which I found in a thrift shop last year.  I felted it only lightly so it kept the knitted appearance, but enough to bond the fibers to make it thick and warm.

It turned out so well, I ended up making a couple of extras.  One for a friend who is due to have her baby soon, and another for my shop.

I am loving having my very own little hat model:)
