Worktable - Cape for Christmas

February 05, 2013

Before Christmas I was a little quiet here, as my free minutes were spent creating and making rather than writing.  Now the season is over I thought you might like to see a few things I sewed for gifts.

This little cape I made for my three-year-old niece for Christmas.  It was constructed from a lovely, thick, textured length of purply pink and yellow check cotton.  A really lucky thrift store fabric find, which was just large enough to accommodate my pattern with only a few centimeters to spare...

I'm hoping this will be perfect for her to wear over a summer dress in the evenings, and can still wear it layered up with some woolies in winter.  My niece loves everything pink, so hopefully this fits the criteria without over doing it.

xx

  3. Gorgeous! How could any girl not LOVE it? I really need to order something from your shop for my little one for this Winter!

P.S. Your collection of lovely fresh produce in the post below has made me peckish! I'm pregnant and always seem to crave fresh fruit and steak, an odd combination!
