Op-Shop Finds - Woodland Plaid

May 14, 2013

How beautiful are the colours in this blanket!   My favourite from this weeks op-shop finds.

With the rain last week came thoughts of autumn.
Time to make our little girl a few new winter warmers.
Will this woodland plaid become her coat or cape?  Or maybe even a little vest?

I'll see where my scissors take me :)

  1. I know you make beautiful pieces, but maybe have just one autumn picnic in the trees first. I just picture thermos' of coffee, and those cool woven picnic baskets... Maybe I've seen too many LLBean catalogues :)

  5. i agree with emma, your tree house is very appealing. the blanket is lovely. it puts me in mind of these funny little dresses we had in england when i was a little girl. they were a kilt on the bottom, with a white cotton vest type thing attached on the top half. did you have them here? i bought the most gorgeous wrap around cape made from an old wooly blanket such as this last year, a cape with arms and love it to bits-i'd love to see a mini version!

The blanket is gorgeous, I have a thing for woolen tartan too. I think it would make an adorable cape. Can't wait to see what it turns into x
