I have been making last minute gifts for the lovely little people in my life this week.
Megan's sweet little bag on Mousehouse sparked the idea for making a personalised bag for Milly. (You may have seen Milly modeling my Wildflower Garden Cape)
I already had some happy bubblegum pink fabric perfect for the project, as she is such a bright, smiley little girl. Ruffle design inspired by a wonderful tutorial by Pascale on Between the lines.
The ruffles around the flap are my favourite feature. They make it so girly and sweet. Some Christmas tree fabric left from another project seemed a nice contrast against the pink. I enjoyed personalising it by embroidering her name in a swirly text with green wool.
The entire bag is also lined in the tree fabric, as is the strap. There is a loop on one end of the strap, so you can tie strap to a great kid size length.
This will be my last post for a while. We are enjoying Christmas in the Bay of Plenty, then off to Ohope and Wellington for a little holiday.
Best wishes for a lovely holiday season and see you all again in the New Year.
xx
