Feijoa Porridge

I only eat porridge on rare occasions, but when I do, I love it in a small bowl with the brown sugar on the bottom underneath the porridge - that way you get a sugary bit with each spoonful.  Of course a wee sprinkling of brown sugar on the top too so it looks pretty.

Today was especially good as my honey made me feijoa porridge to eat in bed this morning.  To make, you simply add the scooped flesh of a few fresh feijoas half way through cooking so the flavour infuses throughout.  When serving add a couple of slices on top with a sprinkle of brown sugar - yum!
