Woolen Winter Hats

February 14, 2013

Pixie hats have been on my agenda this week.

Although the temperatures are warm here right now, it won't be long until the pixie hats requests will begin again here "down-under". Yay!  I love making pixie hats and they look ever so cute on little ones.

Thought I would get a bit of a head start on our winter season this year while my shop is still officially closed.  Along with the classic toadstool, autumn leaf and snowflake designs - this year I'll be adding some new ones too.  Keep an eye out for bumble bees, ladybirds and of course dandelions!

I made Poppet a little woodland hat when she was really little, you can see some pics here.  These are so cute and I love to give them as a gifts for a newborn.  This little stash have been made from super soft recycled sweaters in cashmere, lambswool and angora.

Makes me wish for a winter baby :)
