On My Worktable - Daisy Chain Girl

October 21, 2013

A little girl with her daisy chain, inspired by a picture I saw a long time ago in a vintage craft book.

I like to think our little girl will enjoy the simple pleasure of making daisy chains.  I have fond memories of making them as a child with my best friend.  There was a certain patch of daisies near our school swimming pool with pink underneath and really long stems - a prime spot!

This wee embroidery will eventually to be made into one of my little woolen coats.  My hope is to warm a special little girl during winter with dreams of carefree summer days.

Hmm... yellow lining?

  1. Yes the yellow lining would go beautifully with her hair I feel ... or even the blue of her dress. Your stitchery is just beautiful Lisa - I used to love making daisy chains too & my mum would happily let me because it was free !!!!
