So it has been a wee while, but on the weekend we went out on another cookie delivery. If you are just joining us on our cookie journey you can read more about them here.
We had planned to make anzac cookies for anzac day but ended up on a road trip to see family instead. So we cooked up a double batch of cookies and decided to visit a bunch of neighbours instead of just doing one hence the basket full of bags.
The first neighbours we visited had moved into our road relatively recently and were busy working outside. I think they were pretty happy to stop for a minute for a bag of cookies!
Someone had a bit of dilemma of how to hold onto the next cookie bag, and her stick AND pick flowers all at the same time. She did it though, even managing to get some flowers into the cookie bag. The neighbours receiving that bag will get an extra surprise !
We visited quite a few houses along the way, but no-one was home until we reached the last house on the street. It is the one with the amazing lemon tree outside and lucky for us the neighbours said we could help ourselves anytime! Thanks neighbours :)
We had one bag left at the end of the deliveries and our little girl was pretty keen to walk down to the beach and have a cookie picnic. Why not, it was such a beautiful day and perfect for a spot of tree climbing too.
I had forgotten how much fun this is, and definitely won't leave it so long next time. Actually we ended up making extra dough and freezing so it will be super easy to pop cookies in the oven and deliver fresh next time.
xx
