Ladies Dandelion Slippers

June 12, 2014

Thanks so much for your compliments on my news boy's vests, and thanks also for your ideas.  I'm looking forward to exploring them over the next little while...

Remember recently I was talking about working on some ladies sized slippers?  I finished my first trial pair and I've been wearing them around for a week or so now.  I'm delighted to say they feel great!  Warm, soft on my skin, flexible yet stay on my feet well.

At the moment they are akin to traditional knitted slippers in terms of slidiness on hardwood floors so will have a play with some latex on the soles during the week but apart from that, I think they are ready for me start working on sizing the pattern into a range of ladies sizes.  Exciting stuff!

I am considering offering them as a limited edition in my shop for this winter, so thought I would ask you, do you like the rounded toe on the right, or the more square version on the left?

xx

  1. I love them both but I think the rounded toe. I had a pattern for woolen slippers and always meant to make some. I even bought a wool jacket from the Op Shop to do it.

  10. Round toe on the right, definitely. I'll have to watch for when these are available. I'd love to get a pair for my aunt back in Canada. She would LOVE these, I'm sure (as do I!)
